OMG so can I talk about some bullshit? I saw something about the role of a Star Trek character being cast to a white man, which surprise surprise of course that shit happens. Anyways, the bullshit is not really about that, though it is bullshit. This bullshit made me think of other bullshit. I forgot what animated/comic series it was but all I know is my brother in law was pitching a fit about it. There is some comic book character that usually white went to a black man. I thought that’s great actually, it’s about time things change. Instead of a role that’s supposed to be a poc goes to a white person, now a poc is getting what would usually go to someone who is white. No that’s not the bullshit. The bullshit part is this. My brother in law bitched about this. That oh the character is supposed to be white. I pointed out that there are so many roles that have been white casted when the character was originally a poc. He proceeded to bitch that this was different because this character has been around for decades and always was white. I just find it hilarious that white people are bitching like they’re fucking oppressed.
